Each trial allows a dog to run 2 runs a day. One in the Standard ring (the ring with the contact obstacles like the teeter, A-frame and dog walk) and one in the Jumpers with Weaves ring. When dog/handler teams are running these in the “Excellent” class (the class where you can make no errors), the dog/handler teams are earning Mach points for every second under the Judges suggested course time for that course. So, as a dog runs in the Excellent class, they begin accumulating these Mach or speed points. A dog must earn a total of 750 Mach points to get their Mach. If that wasn’t hard enough, the dog also has to earn 20 Double Q’s. A Double Q is running both a Standard run and Jumpers with Weaves run in the SAME DAY and running both runs PERFECT!!! So, to get a Master Agility Champion Title takes speed and accuracy!
